Adventures in Amateur Radio

Summits-On-The-Air is an amateur radio activity that involves hiking up designated mountains to make contacts.  It combines exercise, off-grid operations, points, awards, and gear.  So much to learn, so much fun…

New to Summits-On-The-Air?  It has been called the “biathalon for geeks”.  Here I’ve collected some resources to get you started. [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

The club has been serving the San Francisco Peninsula since 1946.  I currently serve on the board as Treasurer.  Visitors are welcome to our monthly meetings (even remotely on Zoom) and our weekly Nets on-air.  Your first meeting is free!

New-ham Resources

Just getting started in amateur (“ham”) radio?  Here are some resources to get you started.  [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

Other Radio Interests

While I’m currently fascinated with SOTA, I dabble in other amateur radio projects including digital modes (FT8, JS8Call, PSK31, Winlink, APRS, RTTY, and more), Raspberry Pi for radio, and more.  [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

A little about me, and how to contact me.
